What makes these different

Most material calculators give you a number and nothing else. These show the formula and a worked example underneath, so you can check the answer against your own measurements — and so you know what to change when the job is not a plain rectangle.

Irregular shapes. Split an L-shaped patio or a bed that wraps a corner into rectangles and add a section for each. The areas are added together.
Feet and inches as you would write them. Type 12' 6",12 ft 6 in or 12-6. Metric works too.
