The short version

The measurements you type into a calculator never leave your browser. This site has no user accounts, no contact form and no database of visitors. The only things stored on your device are a light or dark theme preference and a short list of which calculators you last opened.

What you type into the calculators

All calculations run locally in your browser using JavaScript. Dimensions, prices and any other input are never transmitted to this site or to anyone else.

Your inputs are placed in the page's URL so that a result can be bookmarked or shared. That URL is only sent anywhere if you choose to share it, or if you follow a link from the page to another site, in which case the destination may see the URL you came from. If your measurements are sensitive, clear the link before sharing it.

What is stored on your device

Two items in your browser's local storage:

• theme — whether you chose the light or dark colour scheme.
• recent-tools — the slugs of up to twelve calculators you last opened.

Neither is sent to a server. Both are removed if you clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare undertheir privacy policy. No separate analytics product is running on this site.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled on this site, it is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and, where you have consented, to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent notice is shown before any advertising or personalisation cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time from the same notice.

Children

This site is aimed at people buying building and garden materials. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or stored by this site, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. Requests relating to data processed by Cloudflare or Google should go to those companies directly, using the links above.

Residents of California have the right under the CCPA to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale. This site does not sell personal information. Residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification and erasure; the legal basis for the limited processing described above is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and consent for advertising cookies.
